The sour cherry is ranked third most important fruit in Serbia, after the plum and apple. In the last couple of decades, thanks to the spreading of domestic ecotype, the sour cherry can easily be reproducedby outcrops, and is of great quality. The sour cherry is a fruit with modest needs when we look at the soil quality. It has a shallow root web developed in a crown diameter. The fruit is very useful and appreciated in a fresh or revised state.
