Vines

Vine of the genus Angiosperm the family Vitaceae (vines). Genus which the vine i belongs to includes about 60 species of woody climbing vine, of which only a few are grown. Vine was first planted in region Fruska gora and around Smederevo on The Gold Hill , during the reign of Emperor Proba (Marcus Aurelius Probus , ruled 276 – 282 year ). Vine is a climbing plant . It grows as a shrub , and the height varies from 5 to 15 m . Long shoots that develop from primary graft, witch differ from short who are developed from the recess of leaves. The leaves are of various shapes and different green color depending on the type of grapevine . They blossom from June to July – only 4 to 5 days . From the flowers they form a cluster of tiny berries , which ripen until September / October , depending on the variety and the place where it grows . Grain size and color of the fruit can vary from species to species, and fruit (grapes ) can be used fresh , dried or processed into fruit juice or an alcoholic drink , and is usually processed into wine . Vine is a plant of the sun, which means that its life cycle depends primarily on its the position . This is particularly important in times of ripening of the grapes , because without the sun in clusters will not develop sugar, and the berries will be not sweet and tasty .
