Ranunculus
Ranunculus is specie that adorns the garden in spring with wonderful single or full flowers. It belongs to the family Ranunkulaceae, which includes an additional 50 genera and several thousand species. At the mention of Ranunculus some will immediately think of the little yellow meadow flower. In the gardens are still cultivated species that are adorned by bigger and more colorful flowers. It is a garden plant that can be planted in flower pots, and often used as a cut flower for arrangements. Ranunculus grows to a height of 30-45cm, the width of about 20cm and in spring it forms rosettes of blue-green oval carved leaves. On the top comes a single flower similar to poppy or double flower that is similar to peony. It blooms in late spring or early summer in a variety of colors from white through yellow and orange to pink, red and purple. It could be planted in spring and autumn. It likes sandy, well-drained soil. On warmer days, it is necessary to provide enough moisture.
